Insight Equity, LLC, Dallas Texas, owner of Walker Group Holdings, Inc., a Wisconsin based manufacturer of liquid bulk trailers and truck-mounted tanks, announced they are closing their Progress Tank manufacturing plant in Arthur, Illinois in July, 2009.

The Arthur facility is one of four Walker manufacturing plants and is currently producing Progress truck-mounted tanks and trailers for refined fuels, septic, grease trap and the portable restroom industry. The plant closing will properly adjust capacity and reduce overhead costs. All production requirements can be met by existing Walker Group Holdings operations.

A spokesperson for Insight stated, "Progress is the largest manufacturer of truck-mounted aluminum tanks in the U.S." Our goal is to make sure that the Progress brand will remain stronger than ever. We will produce Progress tanks with the same brand quality in our Fond du Lac, Wisconsin facilities.

"We regret having to close any facility; however the slowing global economy requires us to offer the best product and service at the lowest possible cost."

We expect a smooth transition without any interruption in quality or service.
